AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!  OMG HAPPY SPAZZ!!! I'VE FINALLY DONE IT!!!

*deep breath* Right, so what I did. XD;;

I've been playing my way through The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess over the last....month?  3 - 8 hours of play time the Friday's I've been off and on Saturday and likely Sunday.  Friday I actually finished the game, beat it, defeated the final boss (and learned for myself that you really can distract Ganon with your fishing lure. XD;;) and put it away for the day.  I wasn't done though.  I'd not gotten all of the little side items that can be gotten, and in all honesty still haven't (short about 15 pieces of heart and 30 poe souls and various other odds and ends that can be found throughout the land of Hyrule), but that wasn't the big thing I pulled the game back out for.

The Cave of Ordeals.  That's what I wanted to do.  It's a series of 50 rooms where you've got to kill all the baddies in one room before moving to the next.  Every tenth room there are no baddies, just the Fairy Queen to speak to.  Fairies are wonderful little creatures in the Zelda games.  In all they replenish a decent amount of health and in many you don't have to use them they automatically pop out of the bottle when you die and bring you back to life.  Quite handy in the middle of battles when you don't quite get the chance to hit the button to use your health restoring item before the bad guy gets that fatal blow in.  Anyway, when you speak to the Fairy Queen in each room she releases fairies in springs around the land, convenient locations where you can drop in and bottle some any time you want.  In the last room she gives you a bottle full of "Great Fairy Tears" which instead of restoring just some of your health restores all of it and gives you an attack boost for a short time.

The first 20 - 30 rooms are actually not too bad (except the Redead *shudders*), but those last rooms....especially the last room... There is one enemy in game that I find challenging.  Fun!  Really.  The first time you face one is in one of the later temples as the mini-boss of the dungeon.  They're found in the last dungeon of the game too and are just as fun to fight then as it was the first time.  They're called Ironknuckles or Dark Nuts.  Skilled swordsmen, heavily armored through half the battle (have to slice away at their armor until it all falls off before you can kill them), and they block most normal attacks.  You have to take the battle kind of slow and move with good timing.  I love the battles!  .....Except in the last room of the Cave...you have to fight three....at once.  In other places where you come across more than one (in pairs actually) you can fight them one at a time 'cause you have to get close to one to get it to engage you.  In the last room....there's no way, they're already alert and ready to go, and the moment to drop into the room all three are after you just like that!!  GOD it gets my heart pounding, and EVERY TIME they manage to kill me.

That is...until today. XD  *HAPPY SPAZZ* I finally did it!!  I finally beat them!!  I COMPLETED THE CAVE OF ORDEALS!!!!  And on the first try too. XDDD  *VERY pleased with herself, and had to spazz to anyone that might listen. XD;;*
