*flops* Hey everyone...thought I’d drop in an update. Had a hard weekend, some sort of stomach bug, and while my stomach’s feeling better I’m still feeling a bit wiped out. Due to that I was actually in bed by about 10:30/11:00. I was /out/, which doesn’t happen often (usually takes me a while to get to sleep).
I wake up to the alarm going off....not my wake up alarm...the house alarm. I’m thinking that maybe my mom /actually/ forgot to turn it off before opening the kitchen window or something, and kind of....”ugh” ‘cause I’m guessing it to be about 4:00/4:30.....only to find out that it was just a little before midnight...~<3 I could go back to bed and sleep, not just for an hour, but the rest of the night....and I was /out/ again. Heh...turns out my dad hit a button twice or something and set things off...*shrugs*
To add to the interesting this morning....we’re having a wind storm. Not raining....don’t think I saw enough clouds for us to get any rain, but they’re expecting gusts at a minimum of 35 mph today. My mom didn’t have to turn the house fan on to suck in the cool morning air, it was coming in the windows all by itself.
Spent my morning trying to keep my car in its lane, and watching the swirls of leaves and small branches at they attacked my wheels and those of the people in front of me. It’s a GOOD thing that we’re VERY UNLIKELY to get tornados out here.
And have I mentioned yet, that despite being to sleep practically as soon as my head hit the pillow I /still/ feel like I could go back to sleep, like.....NOW? TT~TT;;; M’tired today, didn’t want to wake up...heh...and apparently our elevators didn’t either.
*lady approaches elevators and hits button to go up, I come up to wait too....and wait....and wait.......and.....wait....*
Elevators: *making noises.....something’s moving in there....or so it sounds.....*
Me: .........I think they need to wake up too.
Lady: ?? Oh, heh, yeah I guess so....
*waiting......waiting........waiting.......ding!*
Elevator: *finally opens ~you may enter*
............Yeah....Pocket!Yami is chuckling at me for that one. That’s the lame kind of stuff that comes out of me when I’m half asleep on my feet. X3;;;

Me: ......*SNERKS and starts /laughing/ - how totally random is /that/?!*
I couldn't make out what she was singing, it was that bad, but.....XDDDD

Cat: *a handsome orange tabby – decides to cross the street /right/ as I’m reaching it*
Me: *sees it, but.....it’s me or the cat....I slam on my breaks or try to swerve and I’ll likely end up in the ditch at best!! – sees the cat disappear under her car* TToTT

It’s most /definitely/ on my mind. Surgery on my sinuses is this Wednesday. I don’t know if I’m nervous or excited. I mean....I know it’s gonna HURT, but I’m also hoping it’ll HELP quite a bit... But...nervous or excited it’s definitely on my mind....as was Wall-E....O,o
You see....my dad put on Wall-E last night. I half watched it, half played a game, and didn’t really think much about it (except that LittleK was right when he said that it’s good until we see the Humans and then it’s just kind of ....meh....). I do remember thinking of an artist on DA who humanized the robots (rather ingenious designs, I’ll have to see if I can find the link...), but that’s about it. I went to bed with “I hope I’m feeling better so work isn’t completely miserable” on my mind, memories of Wall-E and no thoughts whatsoever of surgery.
And yet I dream. At first it was a very Wall-E dream. Or at least there was something about a plant and it settling in some inhospitable land (which if I remember right was something like the underworld and Hellboy and Abe were there, Abe trying to talk the plant into leaving ‘cause there wasn’t enough water....or something like that....)
From there my mind moved on to some...like war game kind of thing. There was some guy that was trying to kill me and this group of people and our objective was to stop or kill him. It was just.....part of the game... I’ve got flashes of images from that, but couldn’t give you specifics of what was done.
And finally....my mind moved on to me on the operating table. There was nothing bad about the experience. It was like a pre-op appt or something and the surgeon was looking around and “planning” the procedure out. That changed to me talking to someone about surgery and how it was coming up in just a couple days...and...there was one more, but I can’t remember it anymore.....
But yeah....this is the first time I’ve dreamt about surgery. Again...I couldn’t tell you if I’m nervous or excited but it’s obviously /really/ on my mind now that the date is literally just around the corner. =\
Something New
Carefully he worked, up and down and with a gentle touch. Yami never crossed the lines. It was in his nature to do his best at everything he tried. Slowly, methodically, he filled in every last space.
Yami had never done anything like this before. It was...different, and, despite the intense concentration he gave his work, quite enjoyable too. It was not something he would have done on his own, but when given the "Puppy-Dog Eyes of Doom" that is trademarked to children and a select few adults, he could not bring himself to refuse.
The beaming grin he received along with the enthusiastic hug made this childish endeavor something to look forward to. So here he was, sprawled on his stomach on the floor, doing something he had never done before.
"Daddy? Are you done with the blue yet?"
Yami smiled. "Yes, Jendayi. Here you go." He passed the paper-wrapped stick of blue wax to his adopted daughter. Searching through the myriad of colors strewn around him, he found a nice green to use. Turning his attention back to the coloring-book page he began to carefully and methodically fill in the tree leaves.
It was different, but Yami had decided that he liked coloring.
Me: *happily munching on breakfast*
Breakfast: *NO!! NO!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!! – hops off fork in an attempt to escape and survive – tumbling down shirt and leaving chocolaty Nutela spots on light green-ish shirt*
Me: Ah! T~T *cleans as best she can....then finishes eating breakfast*
Breakfast: *..........poopy....*
*some hours later*
Me: *happily scooping down lunch*
Lunch: *MURDERER!!! YOU ATE MY BROTHER!!!! – leaps out of spoon to leave a drippity mess down the front of the light green-ish shirt ~ Hahahahah!! Sweet revenge!!!*
Me: *doesn’t notice*
Lunch: *H-hey!! Hey dummy!!! Spots....on your shirt? Hel~lo~o~o!!! ~ .................pouts*
Me: *goes to wash out bowl a while later.......and notices shirt* T~T /Why/?
Pocket!Yami: ..............If you only knew..... *glad he doesn’t have to eat......shudders*
Kashin: It’s about to storm here.
Me: =3
Kashin: See you should magically transport yourself here.
Me: I so should, but I can’t find my teleportation spell. =<
Kashin: *sighs* This is why I keep telling you to keep all of your spells in the same place so you always know where they are! What about your super speed spell?
Me: The dog ate that one, thought it was homework I guess…
Kashin: Aw, sad day…
Me: I know…we just got the dog to slow down again, two days ago…
Kashin: *snerks* That must have been interesting.
Me: Yeah, just glad it wasn’t one of the cats, may have ended up with a LOT of mice had it been…
Kashin: Yeah, I’d imagine that that would be rather scary.
Me: Gross is more like it. You know what it’s like to step on half a mouse when you’re barefoot and half asleep in the morning. With a cat on speed spell? Gahk!
Kashin: LOL I can quite happily say, no I don’t.
Me: Be glad…be /very/ glad.
Kashin: Oh, I definitely am!
Me: *heads to answer call of nature....*
Noise: *sounds like there’s something in the ceiling over the bathrooms that’s thrashing about in an attempt to break free and feast on the blood of nature answering humans Rawr!*
Me: =S....*eyes on ceiling as she heads in......quickly does her business, washes up and scurries out*
Noise: *BANGBANGSHAKEBANGTHUDBOOM*
Me: !D= *hurries back to desk* Who did you piss off this time?
Pocket!Yami: *was loving on the Toku (little butterfly winged dragon, her name is Feili).* Huh? Me?
Me: Yeah you. You’re the one that all the scary stuff comes after. >S;;
Pocket!Yami: O,o....*that’s...his namesake actually, but...* What happened?
Me: I think there’s a monster in the ceiling over the bathrooms.
Pocket!Yami: *crosses his arms and makes a face* Lunnaei...
Me: You think I’m joking. The ceiling is making noises like something is trying to break out!

Robert: *supervisor walks by* I just keep thinking it’d be a fitting way for me to go. Ceiling collapses in the bathroom and....
Louise: *co-worker laughs* Yeah, it sounds pretty awful, that’s for sure, like something’s trying to break through or something.
Robert: Yeah. Can you imagine the panic? *amused by this thought*
Louise: ....Can we go home before we find out?
*the head into the hall and can no longer be heard*
Pocket!Yami: *snaps mouth shut and gives me a wide-eyed “wtf?!” look*
Me: *triumphant smirk* Told ya so...
Me: Argh! *stuffs a wad of tissue up each nostril* =_’=
Pocket!Yami: O,o? Dare....I ask...?
Me: .......My nose won’t stop running. I blow my nose and little to nothing comes out but it’s threatening to /drip/ and just......ugh!

Louise: *co-worker – stops by cube just to chat...*

Swine flu is an animal flu...basically meaning, usually only animals get it, specifically pigs. And it’s transferred from live pigs (so eating pork, unless you’re allergic to it, isn’t gonna hurt you). No one’s sure yet how people first got it, or why or how it’s spreading from human to human.
With that said....when I saw this I just had to laugh....and cringe. >,o Eeew.....^,^;;;

I really need to upload an DP Icon...
I had...the coolest dream ever last night. This is one of those dreams that has amazing potential for ficage and I’m seriously considering it. Just a few little things to work out that the dream doesn’t cover, but....XD
People...were disappearing. First person to disappear was Jazz. Of course, Danny’s parents call the police and an investigation begins. Well it’s not just Jazz....it’s other people.....all people that Danny knows and has interacted with before....Mr. Lancer, Paulina, Dash, even Danny’s parents disappear, and then Sam and Tucker. Danny’s getting scared! Because not only are /people/ he knows and has talked to (not just talked to, not like acquaintances, “Oh, you’re the bag boy at the grocery store I said hi to that one time”, no these are people that make some sort of a difference in Danny’s life), the ghosts are disappearing too! Even Vlad...
Danny is...devastated. He’s been moved to an orphan home while some relatives are contacted to come get him. Danny is sitting off in a corner, knees pulled up and head buried in his crossed arms when another kid comes up and...points out something strange about Danny. They’re in some sort of like....dance studio, one of the places that the kids can go to unwind and have a good time, so the walls are covered in mirrors. Well Danny’s reflection....isn’t a normal reflection. You could kind of make out his features over the top of things, but....his reflection looked like someone had put mirror in the perfect shape of him in front of this other mirror. You know how that looks, when you’ve got a mirror on either side of you and it looks like you’re looking down a never ending hallways of arches....that’s....what Danny’s reflection looked like.
Okay, now he /knows/ that this has got to be something supernatural, likely some new ghost he’s not faced before. Now that he’s talked to this kid, though, he’s not letting the boy out of his sight....so....he technically kidnaps the boy (who comes willingly enough) and they leave to find out what’s going on. Danny figures that Jazz was the first to disappear, so he goes to look around her room for clues. Yeah, the police have already been there and done that, but none of them have ghost powers and Danny does, so /he’s/ taking a closer look around the room.
What he finds is this small, handheld mirror. This is the only mirror that he can actually see his reflection in and not just a hall of mirrors like he’s a mirror himself. He studies it, and it’s covered in these odd markings he’s never seen before, each carved rune set with either amethyst or rubies, deep and true to their purest colors (has seen basically pink rubies and lavender amethyst before...no, these were deep, rich red and purple). As he turned the mirror back over to look into it again he could see an image of Sam inside of the mirror....he tucks the kid into a corner and goes ghost before diving into the mirror.
The world inside this mirror is dark....just....nothingness all around. But Sam is there, and after a moment of calling to her he /finally/ gets her attention and she looks at him. She’d been leaning on this like....chair or something, sitting on the floor by it and her face tucked into her crossed arms like sleeping....or crying rather when Danny gets a look at her face. Sam’s kind of shocked that she’s been crying, she...doesn’t remember anything, where are they?
Well they can see the “opening” to get out, so Danny grabs her and heads for the mirror’s surface and back to the real world....He did it! He got Sam back! She’s safe! So Danny and Sam decide to take the mirror to a more open place and Danny gets to work at finding and rescuing everyone else. People and ghosts go home and everything seems fine....but...it’s not....not yet. One morning Danny wakes to find that there are little black....hands....starting to form on the people that he rescued. To be honest they reminded me of the darkness that Pride from Fullmetal Alchemist can spread from himself. It’s like tattoos on their’ bodies, started at their feet, and must have stared a few days ago, ‘cause Danny notices it on their arms/hands and at their throats. They don’t see or feel these things though! Only ghosts can see them....and the ghosts are scared and rather /unhappy/ about this!!!!
Jazz is the first one completely covered with the little hands, to Danny, he can’t even see her features anymore, she’s completely /covered/ in pitch black...to everyone else...Jazz has just dropped into a coma....this....this is bad.....this is really bad!!
Things got a little crazy and off track here...I remember Danny in a car with Mai as she slammed into someone else’s car who was trying to block them in and hurt them, and her complaint as she sped onto the freeway with the guys in hot pursuit that there were never any good cops around when you needed them...but again, that got off track, “off topic”.
Honestly, I don’t know how Danny solved things, though dream knowledge finally did let me know that the mirror was like....a really old ghost hunting weapon that had gotten lost. The last ghost caught in it had gained power over time, biding its time for someone to come and take the mirror. I know it needed someone with a strong power to release it, and Danny broke the mirror after he was /sure/ he’d gotten everyone out of it...which had released this /dark/ spirit from within..../Dang!/ XD I wish I could have “finished” this dream to see how my dream mind would have wrapped things up. >D Oh well....I might have to toy with things and see what I can come up with. >D
Ideas? I’m seriously considering writing this, or something similar. >D
((*feels geeky for having a name for her little bits of silliness* XD))
Me: *opens door to office to go back to her desk*
Door: *~Wait!! I love you!!* *grabs arm*
Me: *squeaks as the handle catches her arm.....rubrubrub*
Rachel: *(co-worker)* You okay?
Me: ....Yeah....the door caught my arm...*rubrubrubs the sore spot* *goes back to desk*
Door: *~Noooo!! Wait!!! T^To Come ba~ack!*
Me: *reaches desk and sits down, examining the red mark on her arm that’s getting darker*
Pocket!Yami: ......Tell me that thing isn’t calling after you...
Me: Eh? What thing?
Pocket!Yami: .............................Never mind.....>,>... *disturbed* You okay?
Me: Yeah....the door grabbed me...
Pocket!Yami: ........Yeeeah.....guessed that....
Me: ????
Pocket!Yami: .....You don’t wanna know...
