Been on and off the phone with a little girl for the last half hour or so. She’s been trying to call her mother and something is getting mixed up when she tries, because she keeps getting me. See....my work number is 650-6692...the number the girl is trying to call is 650-669-92##....I’ve gotten a number of calls from people who have thought they dialed 650-669-2### and have ended up talking to me instead....this poor kid keeps trying though, over and over.
Amuses me because the first two times she called she was kind of joking around and likely asking for something her mother would normally be asked by people calling. So I’m sitting here trying to 1. Figure out why a child (voice was /very/ obviously a little girl) is calling me, and 2. Why a child would be asking about any sort of Facility Reports. O,o?
Third time she called she finally just asked me who I was and if I knew her mom (sorry....no Desiree around here, sweetie. =3;;). I asked her what number she was calling and realized what the problem was. On that call and the 4 after it I encouraged her to keep trying, check the number, make sure she’s got the 1 in front of the area code, etc. etc., she’s bound to get through sooner or later. Well, it’s been about fifteen minutes since I’ve heard from her so either she’s given up of she’s finally gotten through. She’s gonna have quite the story to tell her mom when she finally gets hold of her. ^,^;;; *had to share*
