Carefully he worked, up and down and with a gentle touch. Yami never crossed the lines. It was in his nature to do his best at everything he tried. Slowly, methodically, he filled in every last space.
Yami had never done anything like this before. It was...different, and, despite the intense concentration he gave his work, quite enjoyable too. It was not something he would have done on his own, but when given the "Puppy-Dog Eyes of Doom" that is trademarked to children and a select few adults, he could not bring himself to refuse.
The beaming grin he received along with the enthusiastic hug made this childish endeavor something to look forward to. So here he was, sprawled on his stomach on the floor, doing something he had never done before.
"Daddy? Are you done with the blue yet?"
Yami smiled. "Yes, Jendayi. Here you go." He passed the paper-wrapped stick of blue wax to his adopted daughter. Searching through the myriad of colors strewn around him, he found a nice green to use. Turning his attention back to the coloring-book page he began to carefully and methodically fill in the tree leaves.
It was different, but Yami had decided that he liked coloring.

Date: 2009-05-27 01:12 am (UTC)This is a multi-fandom rp that started between Dragon and myself. Used to just be silly emails of us having a handful of characters reacting to whatever we had been talking about, or maybe putting in their two cents. We later moved it to instant messenger and started to specifically have these characters interact. The basic set up ended up being, there is a central "room" that is sentient, intelligent and can open portals to innumerable different worlds. This "room" is lovingly called the "Chatroom" or just Room. She's actually become a friend to a handful with the ability to actually hear her. XD
The Fandoms are various, but only a couple are actually "fandoms", if that makes sense. Basically with the exception of the Naruto characters and Zelda characters, there is /no/ anime/manga/show/comic for /any/ of the "fandoms". And the fandoms are (let's see if I can recall everyone. 9,9;;) Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu Yu Hakusho, Ronin Warriors, Naruto, Zelda, El Goonish Shive (web comic), Bleach, Avatar, Kingdom Hearts/Final Fantasy, The Sentinel (not the movie, an old tv show), Hellboy, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gundam Wing...and...I'm sure I'm still missing at least one. And on top of fandoms are /various/ OC's from different worlds and realities.
As for Yami specifically....he's come a LONG way in the last four years. Basically we follow his canon up to the end of Battle City. He doesn't get his memories back then, though, someone managed to steal the God Cards and burn them. When they first discovered The Chatroom they also discovered that this was the first place/time that when Yami manifested outside of the Puzzle and Yugi that....he could not only be seen....but touched as well. Because of the magics of Room herself (and a handful of the worlds she connects to) Yami is able to be visible /and/ tangible at will.
This was the start of him making friends of his own, outside of Yugi, and getting to know Jou on a more personal basis (not just through Yugi and during Duels). Oh...on that note. The "story" for Yugi's family and Jou was that Michiko (the name we've given Yugi's mom) was given a promotion in her job, but it required her to move to America. They moved, and Jou came with them.
And with access to...numerous worlds, I'm sure you can guess that we founds many ways to torme*clears throat* I mean...many adventures to take all our characters on.
At this point.....oi....Yami has ended up bound, mind...erm "body" and soul to an intelligent snake from his past named Nicodemus. Yes, when I say "from his past" I mean that Nic is a little over 3000 years old. Nic is an Inriomai, a creature from an original world of my creation, that is "destined" to bond to one person. The story is that there used to be a portal of sorts between Earth and Reirinsei (my world) a LONG time ago, but because of the events with Zork it was closed.

O,o *still breaks her brain* This was one of those unplanned things that just.....happened.....and the friendship was built up over about three years before it happened, so...it was plausible. It likely helped a LOT that by this time another way was found for him to regain his memories, so he remembered his wife and children (it makes sense for the time and how things were done back then).
And...speaking of children....Yami's got....well...technically he's adopted five now, but three of them are also dead and because of the trauma of their deaths the spirits manifest as "one" person. So his children are a Human boy named Mitham. He's about 10 now I think. @_@;; They grow so fast.... Tzein is the name the ghost children call themselves, but individually are two cat Amin (think were-creatures) a male named Zeirik, and a female named Tari, and a J'har boy (think...elf like appearance, blue hair, long ears...), and a little girl that's a "half-blood" or half Human and half J'har, named Jendayi. Jendayi is currently the youngest, and the one that's got her "daddy" practically wrapped around her little finger. XD
Wow....you know...it's really amazing to think of how far Yami's come. One of these days I hope to get all of our rp docs cleaned up so I can post them somewhere so other people can enjoy the interactions and adventures...=3
And.....I apologize for how jumbled this probably sounds. It's hard to "sum up" four years worth of character development and relationships. =D;; So.....any questions? ^,^;;;;;;;;;;

Date: 2009-05-27 02:07 am (UTC)Good thing you guys didn't know me back then, as you might have had to put up with my OC's, Yami's "nephew" and his mother, an American writer and former duelist who had had a "relationship" with Mahaad/Dark Magician. Had quite the back story going for them, but let it drop when I got the even stranger idea that DM and Sarah Jane Smith (Classic Dr. Who), would make a lovely couple...

Dragon managed to get hold of the first season set and we watched through it together a few years back. Heh...actually...we use "Roll the Bones" as part of our AIM!verse (the chatroom rp...we play on YIM now, but stared out on AIM, "Astro-Intradimentional Meeting Room" or AIM Room. XD */dork*), anyway. We used Roll the Bones as part of our AIM1verse canon. XD So Blair is Yugi's uncle. XDD We had fun dragging them into Reirinsei and letting them get to face demons and slavery and....*le sigh* Memories...~<3
LOL We're open for OC's. XD OC's can be really fun. XD
