Guess it's time I let people know what's happening

Hmm...been a while since I’ve had a real update, guess it’s time for one.

 

First the good news (for me anyway). =3  I don’t know how many of you live in California, know people that do, or have heard me rant about this yet, but Cali is...not doing well.  Financially the State is ~this close~ to filing for bankruptcy (I half feel that it should, but I know that’d cause a whole new slew of problems).  The governor and the legislature have been debating (supposedly) over different budget proposals (though it’s unrelated stuff that keeps getting dealt with, and, guess what!  They’ve been on vacation all freaking month!) ...Anyway.  As of the end of last month the budget was late, so the governor ordered all state workers on minimum wage.  Now...without cuts, no furloughs and whatnot, I make not quite $15 an hour right now.  Federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour.  Wanna do the math on that?  Yeah...it’s NOT a pretty picture, is it?

 

Well the guy in charge of actually paying all the State workers said “no” for various reasons, some I admit sound kind of ridiculous, but hey, he’s protecting my paycheck so I’ll not complain.  A judge ruled that he’d have to take a closer look at the Controller’s arguments as to why he can’t/won’t put State workers on Fed minimum and that the hearing will be sometime next month.  So, as it stands now, short of the governor putting us back on furloughs, I’m looking at two months with my FULL PAY!!!  *does a happy dance!!!!!!*  And HOPEFULLY by the end of August the legislature will have gotten their acts together and gotten a budget passed.  Seriously, if I did my job like they’ve done theirs, I’d not HAVE a job.

 

 

And...now for the...other...news.  I’M BEING EATEN ALIVE!!  TT~TT  Seriously, I don’t know what’s doing it, but it’s driving me NUTS!!  I’ll wake up with bug bits (or they look like it) over my stomach, sides, and thighs....no where else...not on my arms, lower legs, back, face, neck...nope...ONLY sides, stomach and thighs. ~,~  I just...dunno what to do anymore.  We’ve bug bombed the house, medicated the dogs and cats against fleas/ticks/etc, and we haven’t been able to find any evidence of bedbugs.  9,9;; 

 

This weekend we’re going to completely clean around my bed.  Sheets are getting another wash, as are pj’s, pillow cases, blanket.  Pillows and stuffed animals are going in the drier, because if it is bedbugs the extreme heat will kill them without hurting my stuffies (I HOPE!! T~T).  Cleaning out under my bed, so the mattresses can be moved, and vacuumed, and the floor around and under my bed can be vacuumed.  And....I’m just hoping all of this works, because it’ll really, REALLY suck if it doesn’t. T~T

 

So, yeah...that’s been my life recently. =\  FULL PAY FOR TWO MONTHS YAYYYYYY.......and being eaten alive....~,~;;
