I'd have to say Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn. The world, the magic, the people are so unique as far as fantasy genre goes. It's refreshing to find something truly unique in the fantasy world and this is it. I think it would be amazing to send character sailing over buildings as their burned the correct metals, having to play spy at parties, and so much more. I'd not say this about many books, while I love so many I don't think they'd translate well into a game, but I think Mistborn would.
