Last Ditch Effort. *crosses fingers*

As anyone that’s cared to read knows, I went to the doctor’s office yesterday and got a CAT-Scan of my sinus cavity. Got a call from my doctor’s office yesterday afternoon/evening. CAT-Scan shows that I have “severe sinus congestion” (which I could have told him). But the fact that it shows on the C-Scan means that it’s NOT allergies, but, in fact, an infection. Which is why my doctor wanted the scan, so that he could be sure of what he was trying to treat (since the normal allergy stuff wasn’t working). Had it showed to be allergies I’d be going for desensitization shots to help me not be as sensitive to whatever allergies I had....but since it’s not...
I’ve been given two medications to take for the next three weeks in a last ditch effort to keep from having to send me to the surgeon. *crosses fingers* One is an antibiotic (which had the pharmacist shocked and wondering what the hell was wrong with me that I’d be taking an antibiotic for double the time one normally does), and the other....well, honestly I don’t know yet. I didn’t get to speak with my doctor yesterday, just someone from his office to let me know the prescriptions had been called in and where and to let him know how I was in three weeks. I’m gonna email him and see what the other med is doing, if nothing else than to satisfy my own curiosity.
Anyway...I’m hoping this will do the trick. If not, it’s to the surgeon for me and I’d...rather not if I didn’t have to.
